Possible Scam alert 3.8.2017

"At about 10:00 I received a 'phone call from a most persuasive and well spoken lady. She gave an introduction about "a new Police crime reduction initiative targeting domestic burglary etc". She then went on to ask if my house was protected by an alarm system and I said it was but then became suspicious when she asked for other information including whether I was connected to a central monitoring company.

When I then asked for the name and contact number so that I could call her back the phone went dead and when attempting to obtain the number via 1471 the "number was withheld". I also could not find any information about a local or national anti-burglary initiative."
